• What documents do we need to get married?
You will need to provide original identification, such as a passport or birth certificate, and any relevant divorce or death certificates if applicable.
• Can we get married if one of us is not an Australian citizen?
Yes, you can marry in Australia regardless of nationality, but you must meet the legal requirements and provide valid identification.
Ceremony & Logistics
• Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely! You can personalize your vows, as long as they include the legal wording required by Australian law.
• How long does a ceremony usually take?
Most ceremonies last between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your preferences and any additional elements like readings or rituals.
• Do you provide a PA system for the ceremony?
Yes, I provide a PA system so everyone can hear the ceremony clearly. Let me know if you have special music requests.
• Can we include cultural or religious traditions in our ceremony?
Yes! I am happy to incorporate meaningful traditions, rituals, or customs into your ceremony.
After the Ceremony
• When do we receive our official marriage certificate?
You will receive a ceremonial certificate on the day. Most couples ask either parent if they would take hold of the ceremonial certificate on the day and keep it safe. (you will be busy), If you need an official certificate for legal purposes, you will need to apply through Births, Deaths & Marriages in your state.
• Do you handle the legal paperwork?
Yes, I submit all necessary documents to ensure your marriage is legally registered.
